Ing. Ken Ashigbey exits Telecoms Chamber as CEO
The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Digital Chamber of Ghana have announced the departure of their Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Ken Ashigbey, who officially stepped down at the end of May 2025.
His exit marks the end of nearly eight years of dedicated leadership that significantly shaped the country’s telecommunications and digital financial sectors.
In a joint statement, the two chambers expressed deep appreciation for Ing. Ken Ashigbey’s contributions, describing his tenure as transformative.
They highlighted his passion, visionary leadership, and commitment to excellence, which they say not only elevated industry standards but also supported national economic growth.
“As he steps into his next chapter, the two Chambers wish Dr Ashigbey continued success and fulfilment,” the statement said.
It further added that both institutions remain committed to strengthening advocacy, enhancing stakeholder collaboration, and driving innovation to benefit all Ghanaians.
The release indicated that during the transition period, all correspondence relating to the Chamber’s leadership should be directed to the Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications.
The chambers noted that details regarding the appointment of a new CEO will be communicated in due course.
