President Mahama reaffirms commitment to economic growth

President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghana’s business community of his administration’s commitment to building a stable and investor-friendly environment to support economic growth and private sector expansion.

He gave the assurance when a delegation of chief executives and industry leaders paid a courtesy call on him at the Presidency to formally invite him as Guest of Honour for the upcoming Ghana CEO Summit 2026, scheduled for May 28, 2026.

President Mahama emphasised that the transformation of Ghana’s economy will depend on strong collaboration between the public and private sectors, describing such partnerships as central to achieving sustainable development and long-term growth.

He noted that the private sector remains a key driver of job creation and national prosperity, adding that government is ready to deepen cooperation with businesses to unlock new investment opportunities.

The Ghana CEO Summit is expected to convene top executives, policymakers and thought leaders to explore strategies for strengthening enterprise development and accelerating economic progress.

President Mahama reiterated that his administration remains focused on policies that foster confidence in the business environment and promote inclusive economic growth.
