Government intensifies call for petroleum industry stability
The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to deepening reforms in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector following a high-level engagement with industry leaders and regulators.
Speaking at an exclusive breakfast meeting organised by the National Petroleum Authority for Chief Executive Officers and major stakeholders in the petroleum industry, the Minister stressed the need for stronger collaboration, efficiency, and sustainable growth across the sector.
The meeting brought together regulators, government officials, and industry players to discuss key policy reforms, operational challenges, industry expansion, and strategies to strengthen Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.
Dr. Jinapor commended stakeholders for their continued partnership with government and their role in maintaining stability and growth within the petroleum sector.
According to him, the engagement produced constructive and forward-looking discussions focused on building a resilient petroleum industry capable of supporting Ghana’s broader economic transformation agenda.
